How to Repair a Bifold Door Top Pivot
The top pivot of the bifold closet door could become loose and scrape the floor. This can be fixed by loosening the set screw of the top bracket.
The pivot pin on the top is a screw made of metal that is fitted into a plastic cap with an end that is lipped and stays within the track, above the door. You'll also need a screwdriver, and possibly a pair pliers.
Take off the pin at the bottom.
Bifold doors are a great option to make space in your closet, however over time they may start to sag against the floor, or fall out of the brackets. There are solutions to most issues with a few basic adjustments.
The most common problem is the bottom pin being loose or bracket. You can adjust the track by putting the spring-loaded wheel onto the top of the door and swinging it into position. Take off the pin that is on top.

Attempting to do this by hand can be difficult and it's advisable to have help performing this task. Grab the outer and interior panels of the door along the sides. Then, lift them up. They can be stacked to make to make it easier to handle.
If there are locking levers on the pivot bracket, remove them. If not take the top of the pin with a pair of vise grips and twist it from left to right, while pulling it out. Repeat the process on the opposite side of the door. After both pins are removed, the door will open and align with the track. If it doesn't, put the doors back in place and try again. If the track is bent you can make use of a drill to straighten it.
Reinstall the pin at the bottom.
If the bottom pin isn't functioning properly, the door may become stuck, hindering it from opening and closing without difficulty. Fortunately, it is usually an easy fix. A loose or missing mounting bolt is often the cause. If that's the case, the best thing to do is to replace the screw with a brand new one that's the same length as the previous one. Screw it into place and tighten.
